The Role

Build your finance career at a world-leading business school. London Business School are looking for a talented Finance Analyst (Management Accountant) to join our FP&A team and support budgeting, forecasting, planning and management reporting across the School. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing finance professional who enjoys analysis, business partnering and turning financial information into meaningful insight.

You will support the delivery of budgeting, forecasting, planning and management reporting activities for assigned business areas. As a key member of a collaborative FP&A team, you will provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information to support informed decision-making. You will also contribute to monthly and year-end processes, support business partnering activity and help maintain financial models and analysis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted finance contact for supported business areas, responding to financial queries and issues.
  • Build understanding of business area drivers and key financial issues.
  • Positively represent the Finance team with business partners and colleagues across the School.
  • Deliver accurate, concise and timely outputs for budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting, management information, key variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support business areas with financial planning and reporting.
  • Assist with annual accounts and other finance processes as required by senior FP&A colleagues.
  • Provide analytical and business case support for new developments and ad hoc projects.
  • Contribute to financial modelling and analysis.

Who we are looking for

  • Professional qualification, part-qualified status, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise and focus on material issues.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel, and ideally experience with TechnologyOne.
  • Ability to produce effective financial and non-financial management reports, analysis and recommendations.
