Private Care at Guy’s – London, Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Shifts include variable patterns Monday to Saturday, including on call. Permanent position. This role supports a wide range of complex elective surgery including robotics, urology, and gynaecology in a setting rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. With four operating theatres, three Da Vinci Surgical Systems and one of the largest multi‑specialty private robotic programmes in the UK, you’ll work in an environment designed to support safe, progressive and high‑quality perioperative care.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics you play a key role across the perioperative pathway, providing specialist anaesthetic support, coordinating theatre services, mentoring junior colleagues, and ensuring a calm, efficient and patient‑focused service.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver specialist anaesthetic care across all stages of the perioperative journey
  • Support the day‑to‑day coordination and safe running of theatre services
  • Act as a mentor and role model to support colleagues’ learning and development
  • Work in partnership with consultants and the multidisciplinary team to provide a seamless service
  • Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards and patient safety within theatres

What You’ll Bring

  • Registration as an Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse
  • Postgraduate experience working in UK theatres
  • Proven anaesthetics experience within an acute or surgical setting
  • Completion of a recognised anaesthetics course
