We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacist with experience in Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) & Medicine to join our “outstanding” Pharmacy Team at the London Bridge Hospital, as rated by CQC.
London Bridge Hospital is one of the UK’s largest private healthcare hospitals specialising in complex and acute care, spanning three main buildings and five outpatient centres. It hosts specialist units in orthopaedics, spinal, digestive diseases, liver, hepatobiliary, renal, cardiothoracic, critical care, cancer and transplant services.
Responsibilities
- Lead antimicrobial stewardship across the campus, participating in multidisciplinary AMS ward rounds, ensuring follow‑up of actions and recommendations, and reporting data.
- Collaborate with consultant microbiologists and the infection control team to develop a culture that reduces hospital acquired infections (HAIs) and supports prudent antimicrobial use.
- Investigate incidents, aid implementation of new antimicrobial initiatives, and lead the writing and review of antimicrobial policies via Microguide.
- Provide clinical service to specialist medical wards, including liver, transplant, critical care, oncology, cardiac and gastroenterology wards.
- Support the training and development of junior pharmacists in these areas.
Qualifications
- Masters in Clinical Pharmacy.
- Registered with the GPhC.
- Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in AMS & Medicine.
- Extensive hospital clinical pharmacy practice experience, including in specialties such as liver, transplant, critical care, oncology, and cardiology.
- Postgraduate diploma or masters in clinical pharmacy (or equivalent).
