London Bridge Hospital (rotation across our London Bridge Campus Sites is required) Full time, 40 hours/ week Shifts Monday – Sunday between 6:00am – 8:30pm Permanent £30,784 per annum + Excellent Benefits

We’re looking for a Porter to join our Front of House team based at London Bridge Hospital. Working within one of the UK’s leading private healthcare facilities, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day running of the hospital while helping to deliver an exceptional experience for patients, visitors and colleagues. This is a varied and hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You’ll support departments across the hospital with portering, security, patient transport and logistics duties, helping to ensure services run safely, smoothly and efficiently at all times. As a Porter you’ll provide professional support across the hospital environment, assisting patients and visitors while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence. Your work will make a real difference to the overall patient journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide portering and security support across the hospital including transportation of mail, drugs, specimens and equipment
  • Assist patients with luggage, room orientation and patient transport throughout the hospital
  • Support hospital safety procedures including fire response, crash team response and gas bottle monitoring
  • Help maintain a safe, clean and organised environment including car park management and waste stream handling

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a similar role is essential
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy hospital environment
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures and manual handling
