Location: Private Care at Guy’s, London

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week (10‑hour shifts across 4 days, between 8am‑8pm)

Here, you’ll work in a modern Chemotherapy Day Unit designed to support high‑acuity treatments in a calm, patient‑focused environment. With 19 chemotherapy chairs and a safe nurse to patient ratio of one to five, you’ll have the time and space to deliver the level of care you know your patients deserve.

This is a role for an experienced Band 6 chemotherapy nurse who’s ready to build on their leadership capability while remaining close to clinical practice. You’ll be trusted to lead shifts, support your colleagues, and play an active role in shaping how care is delivered — all within a team that values expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll deliver safe, effective Systemic Anti‑Cancer Treatment while leading and supporting the day‑to‑day running of the unit.
  • Your role will combine advanced clinical practice with visible leadership on shift.
  • You’ll assess, plan, and deliver individualised care across a varied patient group, including oncology and haematology patients receiving complex chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and non‑oncology infusions.
  • Alongside this, you’ll guide and mentor colleagues, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure consistently high standards of care.

What You’ll Bring

  • A current NMC registration alongside proven experience working as a Band 6 chemotherapy nurse for at least 12 months.
  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience administering SACT within a chemotherapy setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence managing complex treatments within oncology or haematology.
  • Experience of shift leading, with the ability to support, coach, and develop others.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, patient safety, and high‑quality care.
