We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Staff Nurse to join our specialist cancer nursing team at Private Care at Guy’s, part of London Bridge Hospital. This state‑of‑the‑art cancer centre has been rated Outstanding by the CQC and is one of the UK’s most advanced private oncology facilities, offering a full range of services including theatres, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and dedicated oncology and surgical wards. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in providing holistic, high‑quality care to patients across all stages of cancer treatment. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will support patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapies, and other Systemic Anti‑Cancer Treatments (SACT). Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, planning, and implementing personalised care plans
- Safely administering treatments
- Managing complex symptoms with a focus on pain control, nutrition, and emotional support
- Being a key advocate for your patients, ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met with empathy and professionalism
Leadership will underpin your role; you will assume the responsibilities of the Charge Nurse, including:
- Shift leading
- Dynamic decision making
- Collaborating on staffing to align with patient allocation
- Assuming clinical responsibility for patients undergoing transplant and those enduring oncological complications
What You’ll Bring
- A current NMC Nurse registration
- Experience in chemotherapy administration
- Post‑registration experience within a haematology or oncology setting or equivalent
- Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation, and intravenous drug administration
