We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gynaecology to join our expert team at The Harborne Hospital, on a Bank Contract. As a Bank Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their journey, from pre-diagnosis through treatment and recovery. You will be a consistent point of contact, ensuring patients feel well-supported as they navigate different parts of the hospital to receive optimal care.
You will:
- Provide expert clinical, educational, and psychological support to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), including oncologists, breast surgeons, radiologists, and consultant pathologists.
- Attend MDT meetings, share recommendations with consultants, and ensure continuity of care by linking with other healthcare professionals both within the hospital and in the community.
- Offer support before, during, and after surgery, and cover clinics Monday to Friday.

What you’ll bring:
- NMC registration
- Extensive relevant post registration experience in Gynaecology
- Mentoring /Teaching experience
- Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations in the clinical context
- Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to Gynaecology
- Evidence of continuous professional development in clinical area (i.e. relevant short courses and study days)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Completed relevant Post graduate course (Level 6 or 7)
