We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Physiotherapist with a specialist interest in orthopaedics and/or oncology to join our Therapies team at our prestigious Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside some of the UK's leading consultants in a world-class environment equipped with the latest technologies.
Requirements of the role:
- This role will involve cover across outpatients as required, and the following wards: intensive care unit, cardiothoracic/cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics and oncology.
- The candidate will be required to assess and treat a wide variety of patients with complex clinical presentations and care needs.
- The candidate is expected to work with a high level of independence and may include mentoring and supervising junior staff.
- Student training, in-service teaching, service development/improvement and service promotion would be expected.
- The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team with patients, their families, consultants and external providers to proactively assess, treat and discharge.
- This includes early identification of complex care needs and liaising with relevant teams.
What you’ll bring:
- Graduate Diploma or BSc in Physiotherapy
- Registration with HCPC
- At least 3 years of acute hospital inpatient experience, including ITU and rehabilitation (essential)
- Demonstratable experience and special interest in oncology and/or orthopaedics
