Bird House Brewing Company is looking for a Drayman / Supply-Chain & Logistics Manager to take ownership of one of the most vital parts of our operation: getting exceptional beer from tank to tap, flawlessly and at scale. Based under the railway arches in the heart of Herne Hill, Bird House is an independent brewery with a large on-site taproom and a growing portfolio of modern, distinctive venues across London. We are passionate about brewing outstanding beer and delivering perfect pints - every time, everywhere.

This is a hands‑on leadership role designed for someone ready to step up, shape systems, and grow with a fast‑expanding brewery. You’ll work closely with the Head Brewer while managing day‑to‑day logistics, people, and processes that keep our bars running at their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all tank beer fills, keg deliveries, and inter‑site logistics across Bird House venues
  • Own warehouse organisation, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy
  • Manage keg, cask, and tank beer stock across all locations

People & Training

  • Train and support bar teams in cellar management, line cleaning, and beer handling best practices
  • Act as the main point of contact between brewing, bars, and operations teams
  • Help develop clear processes that ensure consistency and quality across sites

Production & Quality

  • Oversee packaging operations including kegging, casking, and tank fills
  • Carry out quality checks and basic lab duties to protect beer quality
  • Ensure beer leaves the brewery in perfect condition—every time

Growth & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics, efficiency, and stock management as the business grows
  • Take increasing ownership of supply‑chain planning and operational decision‑making

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in brewery production
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence taking responsibility
  • IBD General Certificate or equivalent (preferred but not required)
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not required)
