Tap East are searching for a General Manager to oversee their bar operations at their Stratford taproom.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing bar staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Guest Experience:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service, exceeding guest expectations in every interaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting bar environment.

Operations Management:

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximise profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
  • Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Possess a deep understanding of beer styles, brewing techniques, and our own craft beers.
  • Educate staff and guests on our beer offerings and craft beer culture.

Marketing:

  • Social Media planning to ensure that social media is used to its best effect (i.e., Twitter, Facebook, and Website).
  • Visual Marketing for events and promotions.
  • Assist with other company-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a personal license holder.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a bar management role, preferably in a craft beer setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of liquor licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Passion for craft beer and a desire to contribute to a growing brewery.
