The Governors of Kelmscott School are seeking to appoint a highly enthusiastic colleague to join our thriving and successful Food and Nutrition department. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, inspirational creative teacher, able to raise attainment, teach across the ability and age range and motivate pupils as well as being a good team player.
We are keen to cast the net wide and are looking to appoint an exceptional Food teacher, with Kelmscott values, to join our team. This role would suit an ECT at the very start of their career or an experienced practitioner and everything in between. For those taking on Head of Department responsibilities, a TLR would be available. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain excellent career experience and be part of our exciting continued professional development programme, tailored to their needs specifically.
Kelmscott School is a highly ambitious school in the heart of East London. Inclusion is at the very heart of all that we do. Our school motto is 'Putting Learning First' something that we hold dear. We also have a yearly mantra which this year is 'Excellence is not an act but a habit'. Colleagues at our school are very happy and as a result we have low staff turnover. We received an ungraded inspection in January 2025, Ofsted saw two typical Kelmscott days and were highly impressed with what they saw. 'Behaviour is exemplary' and 'the curriculum is highly ambitious' are two soundbites from a very positive report indeed.
