This key role within the Finance team delivers high-quality financial management information to support decision making across Education Services including SEND and Early Years. You will work closely with senior leaders, budget holders, and partners to ensure robust financial management, support service delivery, and drive improved outcomes for children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial advice and analysis to Education services
- Support the Finance Business Partner and Principal Accountant with financial planning, modelling, and reporting
- Lead on budget setting, monitoring, and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and transparency
- Oversee grant management and statutory financial returns, ensuring compliance
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and partner organisations
- Supervise and support junior finance staff and coordinate work activities
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a fully or part-qualified accountant, or equivalent experience, with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
