The Role & Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual with a strong commitment to affordable housing to join our Regulatory Assurance Team as a Regulatory Assurance and Service Improvement Manager. This is an exciting time to join the Council's Housing and Regeneration Department. Having recently undergone inspection from the Regulator of Social Housing, we have a clear path for improvement, and this post-holder will play a key role in delivering our 'Your Voice, Our Action' regulatory Improvement Plan.

The successful candidate will have experience operating in Regulatory environments, be data-driven and analytical, with strong knowledge of the Social Housing Sector. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Assurance within the Strategy, Policy and Regulatory Assurance division, this leadership role heads our business development team, which oversees our Tenant Scrutiny Panel and supports the directorate with business change, policy, and service improvement. The role also involves improving data across the service and translating insights into actionable outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of best practices in Social Housing, with an in-depth understanding of the RSH Consumer Standards, especially concerning Tenant Satisfaction Measures and regulatory reporting requirements. This role will collaborate across the Council to support genuine co-regulation and the delivery of excellent housing services for residents. This is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join our team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
