This is an exciting role for a qualified social worker working at a senior level who understands good practice, has excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with partners.

As Director, you will be part of a strong and committed Directorate Leadership Team, joined by a stable senior team. You will demonstrate strong leadership in anti‑racism and support the Council's values of togetherness, openness, willingness, excellence, and respect. The role aims to increase diversity among managers and senior leaders and will be important in sustaining the passion and commitment of staff.

As the Director, you will provide strategic leadership in adult safeguarding and all aspects of adult social care. You will work across the entire Council to ensure a collaborative approach for the best possible outcomes for residents. The role involves leading improvements and transformation in adult social care services, progressing the vision following a successful ADASS peer review.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving health and social care integration via Tower Hamlets Together and the Northeast London Integrated Care Board.
