We are seeking a motivated and proactive, community‑focused individual to join our team as a Skills & Engagement Service Coach. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting individuals who are economically inactive to make meaningful progress towards employment, and in developing their professional and personal skills.
You will deliver high‑quality, impartial information, advice, and guidance to residents, helping them identify goals and overcome barriers. Working closely with each client, you will develop tailored action plans and provide ongoing support to help them build confidence, independence, and readiness for work or further training.
You will also take a proactive approach to engaging with local employers and other organisations, building strong relationships that provide programme participants with access to vacancies, work experience and vocational training opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) qualifications in English & Mathematics.
- Level 2 IAG qualification or willingness to achieve this within the first 3 months in post.
- Proven substantial experience of the following in order to do the role:
- Experience of working in an employment / advice service or post‑16 educational organisation.
- Experience of dealing effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers, with evidence of providing high quality support and guidance.
