About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate
The post holder will lead the team responsible for calculating and paying members’ benefits – including retirements, transfers, death grants, refunds and the monthly pensioner payroll – for the Sutton and Kingston Shared Pensions Administration Service.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and relevant legislation.
- Leadership experience in managing, coaching and developing a team to foster a high‑performance culture.
- Experience managing high‑volume workflows, resource planning to prevent backlogs and oversight of payroll or financial controls.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate complex pension information into clear updates for all stakeholders.
- Dispute resolution ability, acting as a technical escalation to resolve complex cases and complaints fairly and objectively.
