About The Role

We have a new apprenticeship opportunity within our Emergency Planning & Resilience Team.

In this role you will develop, maintain and exercise robust emergency plans to ensure the safety and resilience of the community.

You will contribute to all aspects of emergency planning, business continuity and event safety, applying a proactive approach and demonstrating strong administrative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and exercise emergency plans.
  • Assist with business continuity planning.
  • Support event safety and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Our Ideal Candidate & Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, good IT skills, strong attention to detail and enthusiasm.
  • Hold a GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Be registered to complete functional skills assessments if not currently holding the qualifications.
  • Apprenticeship must be unrelated to any existing qualifications at the same or higher level.
  • Not enrolled in another funded apprenticeship or higher education program at the start of this apprenticeship.
  • Have right to work and study in England.
  • For EEA citizens: reside in the EEA for at least three years prior to start.

For non‑EEA: have UK permission & have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years before the start of learning.

Benefits & Contract Details

  • Minimum 12‑month contract (some may be longer depending on apprenticeship level).
  • 24 days paid annual leave.

  • Three volunteering days per year in Sutton.
  • Starting salary of £22,432 per annum, subject to London Living Wage.
