Formed in April 2006 as an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) we work in partnership with Sutton Council and its residents, managing over 6,000 council properties and over 1,470 leasehold properties in Sutton.
About the Role and our Ideal Candidate:
- Effective leadership and management of the team, delivering the required outputs for SHP and residents.
- Delivery and compliance with all applicable asset management legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Overseeing the development of intelligent Major Works programmes utilising accurate, reliable data, systems and reporting.
- Overseeing effective procurement operations, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, regulation and the delivery of value for money works’ programmes.
- Overseeing the effective management of contractors, ensuring major works are delivered to the appropriate quality standard, valued and paid for in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions.
- Leading on the development and implementation of effective resident engagement and involvement activity supporting the delivery of an excellent customer experience for residents.
- Leading and supporting the delivery of service improvement projects delivering the required outputs for SHP and residents.
- Accurate and effective budget planning, management and forecasting.
- Effective collaborative working with other Senior Leadership Team colleagues and teams delivering the required outputs for SHP and residents.

Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) is seeking an exceptional senior leader to join us as the Assistant Director of Asset Investment and Sustainability. This role is crucial for delivering real outputs and maximum value for our residents and the organisation. You will operate at a senior level to lead and motivate teams, foster collaborative working relationships, and drive our Major Works and sustainability agenda. You’ll be operating at a strategic level, but close enough to delivery to know exactly where performance is won or lost.
