Job Introduction
Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Services are looking for an experienced qualified Social Worker within the Teddington and Twickenham Locality Team. The team consists of 14 Social Workers, 4 Social Care Assessors, 2 Senior Social Workers and 2 Assistant Service Managers, with 1 Service Manager. We are co-located with the local District Nurses and Community Matrons in our 2 bases in Teddington and Whitton.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out holistic assessments of individuals and carers, identifying needs, risks and opportunities for independence.
- Work collaboratively with residents, families and partners using a strengths-based, person-centred approach.
- Apply social work principles, professional curiosity and anti-discriminatory practice throughout your work.
- Support residents to maximise independence, promote wellbeing and prevent harm.
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and local authority duties, particularly around safeguarding.
- Excellent communication, decision-making and time-management skills.
