- Senior Network Analyst
- Permanent – Fulltime (36 Hours)
We are looking for an experienced network professional to take ownership of a critical enterprise network environment in a forward‑thinking organisation.
The successful candidate will act as the council’s senior technical authority for network services, ensuring enterprise connectivity is secure, resilient and fit for organisational need across sites and services.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include leading the design, implementation, operation and continuous improvement of the council’s network infrastructure – LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls and remote access services – and taking end‑to‑end ownership of major incidents, supporting security and resilience initiatives, and providing technical input into transformation projects, change governance and supplier management.
- Key Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience supporting and designing enterprise‑scale networks in a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, VPNs and network security principles.
- Experience with network monitoring, fault diagnosis and performance optimisation.
- Ability to lead on complex technical issues and major incidents with organisation‑wide impact.
- Ability to provide clear technical advice to non‑technical stakeholders and governance forums.
- Experience working with third‑party suppliers and managed service providers.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Understanding of IT service management and change control processes.
- Experience supporting vulnerability remediation, resilience planning and security improvement.
- Desirable experience includes cloud networking or hybrid environments such as Azure networking, knowledge of zero‑trust or SASE approaches, and exposure to products such as Zscaler, Aruba, Fortinet, Kemp, Solar Winds and Audicodes.
