Job Introduction

  • 35 hours per week (8.15 a.m. – 3.45 p.m.)
  • Term time only (39 weeks)
  • Required as soon as possible

The Headteacher and Governors of Granard Primary School and Cedar ASD Base are seeking to appoint an experienced, self-motivated and inspiring SEND Teaching Assistant to work in our special needs base for children and young people with learning difficulties, Autism and/or complex needs.

The job includes supporting the Teacher with the development and education of our pupils in the class. The right candidate will be a role model to our children; challenging and inspiring them through high expectations in work and behaviour; will promote effective speech and language; will make learning fun and have a genuine belief that all children have the potential for success.

You will need to be proactive and creative in supporting and engaging the children in the classroom and the outside environment. The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal relationships and be proud to work in a school that has the vision to nurture, inspire and transform lives.

English and Maths GCSE grade A-C, or equivalent, is essential. Candidates selected for interview must bring evidence of their qualifications with them. We would be very happy to receive applications from graduates.
