About The Role
Key aspects of the role include:
- Undertaking Care Act assessments to identify needs, strengths and risks
- Developing and reviewing support plans that are person‑centred and outcome‑focused
- Applying the Mental Capacity Act, including capacity assessments and best‑interest decision‑making
- Supporting and responding to safeguarding concerns to protect adults at risk
- Working in partnership with residents, carers and professionals to deliver holistic support
- Embedding reflective practice through regular supervision and learning opportunities
- Demonstrating a commitment to continued professional development (CPD) through the ASYE programme
- Applying social work values, legislation and guidance in practice
- Developing confidence in decision‑making in both routine and complex situations
- Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification)
- Eligible for or registered with Social Work England
- Understanding of key legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Willingness to learn, develop and engage with the ASYE programme
- Commitment to delivering person‑centred, strengths‑based practice
