Ronald Ross Primary School is a thriving, vibrant and happy place of learning with an enthusiastic staff, committed to raising standards and school improvement.
We are looking for a reliable and conscientious Site Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day operation, safety and development of our school site. This is an important role within the school, working closely with the School Business Leader, the Headteacher and wider staff team to ensure that our buildings and grounds support high-quality teaching, learning and community use.
The Premises Officer will have a solution-focused approach to site management, maintenance, health and safety and security, and will contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
You will be:
- Experienced in site management, caretaking or building maintenance or is willing to learn
- Practical, organised and able to work independently using their own initiative
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Experienced in health & safety compliance, including fire safety, safeguarding, site inspections, and maintaining accurate site reports
- Skilled in managing maintenance schedules, responding to reactive repairs, and coordinating planned preventative maintenance.
- Competent in ordering materials, managing deliveries, and overseeing site logistics.
- Experienced in minor building repairs, plumbing, painting, decorating, and general facilities maintenance.
- Confident in locking/unlocking procedures, alarm systems, and overall site security management.
- Highly organised with strong communication skills and the ability to support project managers with work planning and site coordination.
