Smallwood Primary School and Language Unit is seeking dedicated Support Staff to join our expanding team. You’ll work closely with individual pupils and small groups, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and dynamic environment. With our Language Unit growing from 45 this September, there’s never been a more exciting time to join us!
We are passionate about the education of our children, continuous professional development of all staff and a strong partnership with parents and the wider community.
Within the Language Unit, all pupils have an EHCP who have communication and language disorders including Autism. It is important to us that all adults contribute to the growth and development of every child and support their individual needs.
You will be a calm, patient and resourceful individual who will be able to respond positively to the challenges of working with pupils of all abilities within the Language Unit.
You will work under the direction of the class teacher and will be expected to support individuals and small groups of children. A minimum of G.C.S.E. grade C or above in English and Maths and NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or relevant extensive experience is required.
