The role involves delivering an essential frontline service, helping to administer Council Tax accounts for nearly 250,000 properties across Richmond and Wandsworth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Council Tax Service by undertaking high-volume administrative processing and routine account maintenance activities.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and account information.
  • Responding to customer correspondence and enquiries by telephone, email and written communication.
  • Investigating and resolving account queries in accordance with legislation and Council policies.
  • Working closely with colleagues across Revenues, Benefits and other Council services.
  • Supporting the delivery of annual billing and other key service activities.
  • Contributing to service improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
