Salary: £61,664 – £65,432, plus up to 3 SPA points and £2,431 Outer London Weighting for the Senior Educational Psychologist Post. Main Grade Educational Psychologist Post Salary: £51,893 – £61,664, plus up to 3 SPA points and £2,431 Outer London Weighting.

Team Introduction: We are a friendly, collaborative and enthusiastic team of Educational Psychologists delivering a highly regarded psychology service to our schools and services across the borough. We are looking to grow our service and are committed to the wider inclusion agenda where all children and young people belong and feel they have a voice. The service has an established consultation framework which underpins its work with schools. We are working systemically and preventatively within our schools to meet the needs of CYP. We work in a flexible and creative way in line with evidence-based practice. Redbridge EPS is uniquely a non-traded service with diverse working opportunities including with the Virtual School, YOS, Supporting Refugees, Early Years, Post-16 and the wider community. We run joint projects with our Redbridge Educational Wellbeing Team (REWT), which is part of the EPS, and which includes ELSA training and supervision, the Race and Equality Awareness programme and our RAW (Rhythm and Well-being) project. Redbridge EPS has close links with the Doctoral training courses at UEL, UCL/IOE, and we support trainee placements within the team.

Senior Educational Psychologist Responsibilities:

  • An area of specialism to be agreed, incorporating the applicant’s interests.
  • Monitoring and evaluation.
  • Policy development.
  • Community needs led projects.
  • Preventative and systemic work (0‑25).
  • Strategic lead/liaison in borough wide/EPS projects and developments.
  • EDI work and culturally responsive practice.
  • CPD and Training and developing interventions.
  • Decision making multidisciplinary panels.

Main Grade Educational Psychologist Responsibilities:

We invite skilled, creative and enthusiastic Educational Psychologists to join our friendly and supportive team, where dynamic opportunities exist for all EPs to develop and apply their psychological skills in a range of settings. Senior EPs and Main Grade EPs will be supported by an Assistant Educational Psychologist and peer support to enable collaborative and creative work and enhance wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants must be a professionally qualified Educational Psychologist and registered with the HCPC or expect to have their registration confirmed following completion of a recognised training course. Three years minimum experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist is required for the Senior EP post. Full and part-time applicants will be considered. An enhanced DBS check is required.
