Redbridge Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is recruiting an educational psychologist passionate about early intervention for children and young people’s mental health.

What is an MHST? MHSTs are a national initiative designed to transform children and young people’s mental health provision. They provide evidence‑based interventions, support senior mental health leads and signpost to external specialist services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions directly to children, young people and families both individually and in groups.
  • Supervise Education Mental Health Practitioners delivering low‑intensity CBT‑based guided self‑help interventions, including group and individual supervision.
  • Provide whole‑school mental health support to school staff and the wider community through training, projects, parent/carer support and borough‑wide campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience
  • HCPC registered educational psychologist.
  • Post‑graduate diploma in Children and Young People’s Mental Health Supervision or willingness to undertake a one‑year PG Diploma at a London university alongside the role.
  • Willingness to shape and develop a developing MHST service with remit to tailor the role to professional interest and expertise.
