Do you want to be part of a dynamic, dedicated and creative team? We are a friendly, collaborative and enthusiastic team of Educational Psychologists delivering a highly regarded and valued psychology service to our schools and provisions across the borough. We are excited about growing and expanding our Service and are looking for Main Grade Educational Psychologists (EPs) who are dynamic and passionate about applying psychology to improve outcomes for all children, young people (CYP) and families.

This is a particularly exciting time to join Redbridge Educational Psychology Service (EPS). The national SEND reform agenda presents significant opportunities for EPs to shape inclusive systems, strengthen early intervention, and influence how support is delivered locally. Redbridge EPS have been fundamental in shaping and developing the local Expert at Hand (EAH) model. Over the coming months, we are looking forward to piloting our EAH offer and playing a key role in evaluating its impact and ensuring that psychology remains at the heart of system change across the local area.

We are a dedicated team committed to providing a psychological service to children and young people in our diverse communities through culturally responsive practice to ensure that all CYP feel that they belong and have a voice. The service has an established consultation framework which underpins its work with schools and we believe that early identification of needs and supporting inclusive practices that respond to diversity, are key. We work in a flexible and creative way in line with evidence-based practice and have strong links with other teams. Redbridge EPS is uniquely a non-traded service with diverse working opportunities such as with the Virtual School, YOS, Supporting Refugees, Early Years, Post-16 and the wider community. We run Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) training and supervision, and all EPs have an ELSA supervision cohort. Redbridge EPS has close links with the Doctoral training courses at UEL and IOE, and we support trainee placements within the team.

We invite skilled, creative and enthusiastic Educational Psychologists to join our friendly and supportive team, where dynamic opportunities exist for all EPs to develop and apply their psychological skills in a range of settings.

Redbridge EPS Leadership Team are committed to the wellbeing of EPs. We focus on maintaining work-life balance and we have thought carefully about our allocation model to meet our statutory demands and to maintain our non-statutory work in education settings. EPs will have support from our small team of AEPs as well as peer support to enable collaborative and creative work and enhance wellbeing.

Successful applicants will benefit from the support of a friendly, supportive and well-established team who meet regularly to share and reflect on practice, keep abreast of current changes in education and enable whole team development. We value professional and career development with opportunities for innovative roles and developing specialisms. Successful applicants will receive a tailored induction programme, supportive peer and individual supervision, an annual service CPD programme, continuous service and generous annual leave allocation.

Applicants must be a professionally qualified Educational Psychologist and registered with the HCPC or in the case of TEPs, expecting to have their registration confirmed following the completion of their recognised training course. Full and part-time applicants will be considered. An enhanced DBS check is required for this post. All short-listed applicants will need to demonstrate proof of right to work in the UK.

We are committed to employment practices that promote diversity and inclusion in employment and welcome applications from qualified applicants regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sex, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, colour, race, religion, or belief.
