Redbridge Registration Services is looking for two customer‑focused Business Support & Registration Officers to join our team. This is a front‑facing, office‑based role providing a professional first point of contact for registration enquiries, bookings and payments, as well as wider administration support for Registration & Celebratory Services.
Essential
- Experience of working in a registration or front line service setting.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with people in a range of circumstances, including those who may be bereaved or anxious.
- Clear verbal communication skills and confidence handling one‑to‑one enquiries.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, building positive working relationships.
- Ability to work accurately, follow statutory procedures and maintain confidentiality.
- Neat and legible handwriting and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (or similar systems) and confidence using basic spreadsheets/records.
- Adaptable and receptive to change, with a flexible approach to service delivery.
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to adapt working hours to meet business needs (e.g., occasional evenings, wedding fairs, extended opening hours).
- Willingness to work from any Council site/building, as required.

This is an office‑based role due to its customer‑facing nature. Some weekend working is required.
