An excellent opportunity has arisen within the London Borough of Redbridge for a Land Charges Officer to join our friendly and well respected Local Land Charges department on a permanent basis.

The successful Land Charges Officer would ideally have previous experience of using local land charges search applications and understand the process. Responsibilities may include: * Preparing and processing local land search certificates;

  • Searching the land charges register on behalf of the public and solicitors;

  • Maintaining, preparing, and updating the land charges register; and

  • Provide assistance to the team with the migration of the local land charges register information functions to HM Land Registry.

The Council currently operates on a hybrid basis.

You will work within Legal Services and you will also work closely with other Council departmental clients and specialist departments.

Ideally the Council is looking for someone with the following:

  • Good general standard of education

  • Knowledge of the local land charges

  • NVQ in Administration or Local land Charges Qualification

  • Experience of working within Land Charges, working within clear guidelines and procedures to produce appropriate legal documents.

  • Experience of working in an admin / office environment.

  • Good knowledge of various IT applications.
