Contract: Full time, permanent.

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for the position of an Early Years Practitioner within our Children’s Centres team. The role supports children up to 5 years old and their families, delivering high quality early education, care and development support. You will work as part of a collaborative team to plan, deliver and review the full service, coordinating with parents, carers and other agencies.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the fulfilment of the Children\’s Centre’s core service offer in Redbridge, ensuring the achievement of Development Matters outcomes and objectives in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and council strategies.
• Collaborate with the team to design and deliver high‑quality services for children and families, enhancing outcomes for all children.
• Facilitate group sessions for families with children under 5, identifying children and family needs and delivering a group intervention model.
• Provide advice and guidance to users on parenting, home learning, and related topics.

Qualifications and skills:

• NVQ Level 3 in childcare or an equivalent credential.
• Strong IT and organisational abilities, with capacity to prioritise and manage a busy, diverse workload.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills, committed to delivering child‑centred support.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policy and a commitment to safeguarding children and families.
