Permanent – Full Time

Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Contracts Monitoring Officer to play a leading role in the effective management of leisure and culture contracts across the borough. Working across a diverse portfolio of services and assets, you will be responsible for day-to-day contract monitoring, compliance assurance and performance tracking, ensuring providers deliver safe, high-quality and resident-focused services. The role spans a wide range of facilities and programmes, including leisure centres, parks, play areas, outdoor gyms, open spaces, museums, libraries, sports development initiatives and cultural activities, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to services that have a direct impact on local communities.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will support the Council’s client-side contract management function by ensuring contractual obligations are met, carrying out performance reviews, analysing service data and providing accurate insight to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. You will build effective relationships with providers and stakeholders, identify areas for service enhancement and help drive innovation, value for money and operational excellence across a complex range of delivery models. The successful candidate will have strong experience in contract monitoring or compliance, excellent analytical and organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services that support the Council’s ambitions for leisure, culture and community wellbeing.

All short-listed applicants will need to demonstrate proof of right to work in the UK.

We are committed to employment practices that promote diversity and inclusion in employment and welcome applications from qualified applicants regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sex, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, colour, race, religion, or belief.
