Are you passionate about public health and skilled in creating impactful communication campaigns? The London Borough of Redbridge is looking for a dynamic Communications & Engagement Officer to join our Public Health Delivery Team. In this role, you will support key health priorities and initiatives, delivering innovative communications and engagement strategies to improve the wellbeing of our community.
As a Communications & Engagement Officer, you will lead Public Health and Redbridge Place Based Partnership campaigns, including working alongside supporting the North East London NHS ‘Start Well’, ‘Live Well’ and ‘Age Well’ programmes. You will create and design accessible content for various communication channels, ensuring that our messages reach and resonate with diverse audiences. Your work will also involve developing the Redbridge Place Based Partnership newsletter, as well as supporting engagement events like the Healthy Redbridge Bus deployments.
We are looking for someone with experience in implementing communication plans for diverse audiences, managing media relations, and delivering effective campaigns. You should have strong skills in creating engaging online content, using tools like Canva and video editing software. Additionally, you will need to have a good understanding of information governance and consent processes around published content.
In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the Public Health Delivery Team, NHS primary care, and wider partnership. You will represent the team at meetings, forge relationships across the borough, and ensure that health inequalities are highlighted and addressed in all appropriate forums. Your innovative and accessible communication solutions will support the delivery of important health messages into the community and ensure that the resident voice is heard.
