Overview

Fixed Term Contract – 15 months. Location: Lynton House, Ilford, IG1 1NY. We are looking for two Communications and Campaigns Officers to help us create impact in our communications as we start our ambitious modernisation programme. This is a great opportunity for a communications professional to shape the narrative and drive positive change internally and externally.

We are a small but brilliant Communications Team that aims to deliver innovative content, stories, and campaigns across our channels. This role offers the chance to start or continue a career in Communications and be involved in making a difference to our workplace, the lives of local people, and the reputation of our borough.

You will be supported to learn new skills, develop in your role, and take ownership of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the work of the Council and give colleagues and local people a voice by connecting and sharing stories.
  • Help shape the narrative and drive positive change both internally and externally.
  • Deliver innovative content, stories, and campaigns across Council channels.
  • Contribute to taking Redbridge to the next level by communicating effectively with diverse audiences.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Good understanding of the key principles of communicating with different audiences.
  • Ability to create engaging visual and written content.
  • Passion for the work, drive to achieve results, and willingness to learn.
