Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Senior/Environmental Health/Private Sector Housing Officers and Tenancy Liaison Officers (TLOs).
- Oversee private sector enforcement including the TLO illegal evictions and serious harassment workstream, manage data sets, deliver outputs, report to senior managers, identify team training needs, build collaborations, and conduct inspections.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Environmental Health (or equivalent), EHRB or CIEH registration as an Environmental Health Practitioner (REnvH or CEnvH).
- Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience, with experience managing complex housing projects and enforcement cases.
- Expert knowledge of the Housing Act 2004, HHSRS, evidential court/tribunal procedures, and the Renters’ Rights Act 2025.
- Leadership, project management, and excellent communication skills.
- Occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
