At Folkestone Road Depot, you will be joining a high performing team that is committed to ensuring that the depot is fit for purpose and operates efficiently and effectively. The key responsibilities of the post are:
- Porterage and delivery services
- Meeting/training room set up and clearance
- General building administration duties
- Managing access control including the production/amendment/deletion of ID cards to staff
- Raising Purchase orders
- Ensuring help calls for repairs and maintenance are raised via the correct channels
- Dealing with any building related issues in the first instance
- Conducting daily inspections to identify urgent repairs, grounds maintenance issues and health and safety issues
- Liaising with customer/building occupiers/tenants to ensure that they are updated on the progress of jobs
- Procuring building materials and equipment for in-house repairs and maintenance
About You:
You will have sound experience of delivering high quality services to building occupiers. You should have experience of working on a large site with multiple occupiers, possess a good knowledge of managing buildings from a health and safety perspective, and have a good knowledge of Council Services in order to manage queries quickly and efficiently. Previous experience of managing a team, which will include producing staff rotas, managing performance, and motivating and developing staff, is essential. As the postholder will be managing the in-house maintenance officer, a good knowledge of multi trades and relevant qualifications in plumbing, carpentry, etc., is desirable. As this is a customer facing role, you should also have good interpersonal skills and customer care skills.
Please note, this is not a hybrid role and the postholder will be expected to attend site every day.
