Newham Council is currently recruiting for Waste HGV Driver. The service area is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated staff to safely deliver a range of services across the borough.

Are you looking for a demanding role to contribute to achieving a cleaner borough and assist the Council in its delivery to its National targets?
About You
The post will be physically demanding on a day-to-day basis and you will operate a range of vehicles, bin lift equipment. Our services are in operation from 06:00 – 22:00 Monday to Saturday. We have opportunities to work across both the 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 shift patterns. If you can meet these expectations, are looking for a new challenge and have the ambition to succeed, then we want to hear from you.
To drive the full range of Council vehicles including HGVs and to have staff supervision responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Full driving licence (Level 1)
- C1 Licence Application Form/License (Level 2)
- HGV 2 – Level 3
- Full driving licence appropriate to operate up to 7.5-tonne caged vehicles
- Skip or Clinical Waste Drivers will need an ADR Certificate
