Overview: Assistant Director of Education Improvement & Outcomes. Grade: SMRC, Salary £77,610- £98,436 pa

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the approach to school effectiveness, performance and quality assurance across all phases, working in close partnership with headteachers, governing boards, trusts, school improvement advisors and regional partners to build a confident, equitable, self-improving system.
  • Establish robust frameworks for challenge and support and ensure resources are deployed strategically to maximise impact.
  • Lead the development of the wider education system, ensuring strong progression pathways and sustained high standards.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A credible and influential leader with a strong track record in education improvement, including supporting school leaders and governing boards to achieve financial sustainability.
  • Ability to bring strategic clarity, political awareness and to deliver at pace in a complex environment, with a clear commitment to securing excellent outcomes for all children and young people.
