We are looking for someone to join our very busy team over at Dockside. If you have ever had to make decisions about your own finances, imagine managing the finances of multiple people you have no history of, no understanding of their wishes, likes, dislikes or work history. Your job as a Client Affairs Officer is to investigate, build a history of your client and make best‑interest decisions on their behalf, in relation to their finances. This is not always easy, but the role is highly rewarding when you realise the difference you have made to your clients’ lives when their finances are in order. Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Experience and a good understanding of Court of Protection rules in relation to deputyship for property & affairs
  • Knowledge of state benefits
  • Experience visiting clients in their own home or at designated sites
  • Sound knowledge of accountancy practices in managing clients’ monies
  • Good understanding of IT software packages (local packages and Microsoft)
  • Ability to manage own caseload
  • Experience reconciling client accounts (income and expenditure)
