Overview

Lead the approach to school effectiveness, performance and quality assurance across all phases, working in close partnership with headteachers, governing boards, trusts, school improvement advisors and regional partners to build a confident, equitable, self-improving system. Establish robust frameworks for challenge and support and ensure resources are deployed strategically to maximise impact. Lead the development of the wider education system, ensuring strong progression pathways and sustained high standards.

Qualifications and experience

A credible and influential leader with a strong track record in education improvement, including supporting school leaders and governing boards to achieve financial sustainability. Ability to bring strategic clarity, political awareness and to deliver at pace in a complex environment, with a clear commitment to securing excellent outcomes for all children and young people.
