Overview
The Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE) Programme 2026/27 is a 12‑month paid placement within the Adult Social Care Team, leading to a permanent Social Work role upon successful completion. The programme supports newly qualified social workers and is based at Newham Dockside, E16 2QU.
Compensation
£41,133 – £49,056 per annum plus a £3,000 market supplement.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Graduation and registration with Social Work England before the first week of August 2026.
- Graduated in 2025 or anticipate award in 2026.
- Legally qualified to work in the UK for at least 12 months from the start of the programme.
- Registered with Social Work England at start date.
Programme Highlights

- Reflective practice and supportive line‑manager and ASYE assessor.
- Opportunity to progress into management or train as a Practice Educator.
