Join the London Borough of Merton as a Speech and Language Therapist (Special schools and ARP). This full‑time Band 6 role supports pupils across a range of settings, including a primary school additional resource base (ARP) for pupils with Autism and a special school for children with PMLD. In the special school you would be joining a team of five speech and language therapists in an outstanding setting for children aged 4‑19, close to Morden Town Centre, working as part of a dynamic MDT.
About the team
Our team works within the Local Authority across mainstream and special schools, the Youth Offending Team, and the Virtual School for Children in Care. We deliver high‑quality statutory, targeted, and universal SLT support. We collaborate with educational professionals, occupational therapists, EPs, and SEN teams to ensure a joined‑up, inclusive approach to care.
In this role you will provide speech and language therapy to pupils in a range of settings, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to determine needs, deliver interventions and monitor progress. Applicants should be a Band 5 or Band 6 speech and language therapist.

Flexible Working
The team is based at the Civic Centre in Morden, with flexible working arrangements supported by excellent IT. Admin time can be completed at home where appropriate. We cover mileage and public transport costs for travel between schools as well as reimburse professional fees for HCPC and RCSLT membership.
