Merton, Wandsworth and Richmond have joined forces to become a unique environmental health service known as the Regulatory Services Partnership (RSP). This makes us one of the largest Environmental Health Services in London with a diverse character and a variety of high profile and interesting venues, including Wimbledon Tennis, AFC Wimbledon, Twickenham Rugby, Battersea Power Station, New Covent Garden and Hampton Court Flower Show.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic officer to join the Pollution (Noise & Nuisance) team in the Regulatory Services Partnership.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate more complex noise cases and review technical reports for planning and licensing applications.
  • Respond to statutory nuisance complaints under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and deal with construction sites under the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of responding to statutory nuisance complaints under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and dealing with construction sites under the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
  • Ability to investigate complex noise cases and review technical reports for planning and licensing applications.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to write reports and letters; strong ICT skills.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrable commitment to meeting targets and to the needs of the Regulatory Services Partnership.
  • Excellent team player as well as the ability to work on your own initiative; well organised with good interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Based in the Wandsworth office; a full driving licence is essential; capable of working flexibly.
