Merton, Wandsworth and Richmond have joined forces and formed a unique partnership known as the Regulatory Services Partnership (RSP). The RSP provides regulation and support across the 3 Councils. Covering a diverse population, landscape and a variety of high profile and interesting venues, including Wimbledon Tennis, AFC Wimbledon, Twickenham Rugby, Battersea Power Station, New Covent Garden and Hampton Court Flower Show.
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced leader to take on the role of Licensing Manager. The post will co-ordinate and manage a highly motivated team of licensing officer across the 3 South London Boroughs. With options for hybrid and flexible working is available.
Leading on delivering the Council\’s duties related to the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and other functions, including street trading licensing and special treatment licensing.
As a member of the partnership’s management team, you will provide leadership, guidance and technical advice to your team, across the RSP and the wider Council’s, ensuring that our statutory obligations are met.
About You
You should be an enthusiastic and committed professional with new and innovative ideas about how to tackle problems and make a real difference delivering high quality services for residents and businesses. You will have demonstrable experience of working in the licensing field or similar regulatory service,
You will be proficient in working independently and collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills to build effective teams and relationships. You should have experience of managing human resources and the drive to deliver effective outcomes.
You will have an understanding of legal frameworks and procedures related to licensing and enforcement and decision-making abilities to resolve licensing issues and disputes. The successful candidate will have sound understanding writing and implementing policies and procedures and the ability to quickly analyse and interpret complex written, numerical and financial information to make informed decisions.
