Full Time Continuous Improvement Officers required. Are you passionate about early years education and childcare? Join our team as a Continuous Improvement Officer and help us support and enhance the quality of early years settings and childminders.
In this role, you will support and challenge early years providers, including full day-care, pre-schools, nursery classes, maintained nursery schools, childminders, and out-of-school provision. Your goal will be to promote quality improvements and maintain high-quality provision. You'll provide advice and guidance on the quality of provision and the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring settings meet Ofsted requirements and relevant legislation.
Working alongside an Early Years Advisor, you will act as a mentor and role model to settings in Merton, offering training, advice, support, and challenge to early years managers, practitioners, and childminders. Additionally, you will support new and existing childminders in developing their businesses to deliver funded places and work closely with out-of-school providers to raise standards and ensure positive outcomes for children.
You will be joining a collaborative team, working together to provide the highest level of support and challenge across the sector. Together, we strive to ensure that every child has access to excellent early years education and care.
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum Level 3 early years/childcare qualification and a solid understanding of the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice 2015 and related legislation. You should have some experience in supporting early years settings, childminders and/or out-of-school providers to improve quality, along with a good knowledge of Ofsted regulations, health and safety legislation, and safeguarding procedures. Strong communication and time management skills are also crucial, along with the ability to deliver training.
