The Corporate IT Digital & Products team is seeking an IT Analyst to join its dynamic and collaborative team. This role requires a professional with a positive approach to work, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to developing their skills. As part of the team, the successful candidate will provide technical support and contribute to the ongoing enhancement and improvement of the Council’s corporate systems. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work proactively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with an aptitude for continuous learning and professional growth. You will be joining a professional and friendly team with a diverse range of experience and knowledge. Responsibilities

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization, partners, and suppliers.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively as part of a team to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Experience in providing application and system support.
  • Proficiency in Power BI including:
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Transforming raw data into meaningful insights through data modelling and visualization.
  • Integrating Power BI with other corporate systems and data sources.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and compliance in reporting solutions.
  • Applying Power BI governance principles such as data lineage, security roles, and adherence to organisational reporting standards.
  • Conducting data analysis to support evidence‑based decision‑making across the Council.

    Location

    We are situated in the Merton Civic Centre, which is opposite to Morden Underground Station on the Northern Line. We are also a 10-minute walk from Morden Road Tram Stop and both Morden South and South Merton Railway Stations, and are near Wimbledon, which is part of The London Borough of Merton.
