Job Description
Family Engagement Officer - London Borough Of Merton Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Family Engagement Officer. To support the development, implementation and ongoing delivery of children's centre activities in accordance with Legislative Requirements and Statutory Frameworks, (i.e., Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, Ofsted), and in response to national and local policies and priorities. To have sound knowledge and understanding of child development, with the ability to assess and identify needs and provide support through direct work with children and families and/or refer as appropriate in order to meet the individual needs of children and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
Experience:
- 1. NNEB or NVQ Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification/other
- 2. Direct experience of delivering early learning to young children through the Early Years Foundation Stage, with the ability to plan and deliver a range of activities that contribute to raising attainment in young children.
- 3. Direct experience of working within a children's centre, supporting children under 5, and their families
- 4. Experience of undertaking outreach work across a range of venues, and within the homes of families most in need
- 5. Proven relevant and recent experience of working in partnership with parents to bring about change and enhance their children's learning.
