Join Merton Council and make a positive difference for young children and families. We are seeking a qualified Preschool Manager to lead Abbey Preschool on a part-time basis (20 hours per week, mornings only, term time). Abbey Preschool, based at Abbey Children’s Centre (SW19 2JY), provides 20 childcare places and operates during term time mornings.
About You
- Hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Have experience working with young children and families
- Have supervisory or management experience in early years settings
- Understand SEN, safeguarding, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements
- Be organised, able to prioritise, and use IT effectively
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
Role Overview
You will lead a small team, oversee curriculum delivery, and ensure a safe, inclusive and high-quality learning environment. The role involves partnership working with families and professionals to support positive outcomes for children.
