Team Manager (Families Support & Child Protection) REF: 2366
Hybrid working – 2 days per week.
Permanent full‑time position.
PO6: £56,436 pa, rising in annual increments to £59,574 plus £4,700 pa market supplement.
About the Role
You will lead a committed team working at the heart of family support and child protection, driving high‑quality practice, supporting staff development, and ensuring children and families receive the care and protection they deserve.
You will offer guidance to social workers on CIN/CP cases, PLO cases and cases in court proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of social workers and support staff.
- Ensure the delivery of high‑quality practice in child protection and family support.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on complex cases.
- Champion continuous improvement and reflective practice across the team.
- Build strong community and partnership relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong experience in safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a social work setting.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, reflective practice and evidence‑based service design.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff to deliver their best.
- Experience with court‑related child protection interventions (CIN/CP, PLO).
