Public Health Context
Public health hosts specialist commissioning teams, including sexual and reproductive health (SRH), HIV and substance misuse. The SRH team supports the provision of services across five local authorities and the southeast London (SEL) integrated care board (ICB). The sexual health team also hosts and manages the London HIV Prevention Programme (LHPP) on behalf of all London local authorities. Substance misuse commissioners also work strategically across southeast London and hold some joint contracts across this footprint. This role will support commissioners and public health specialists in discharging their role.
About the Team
The Lambeth Together Health and Wellbeing Bus Team provide accessible health advice, signposting, and health checks to residents across Lambeth, with a particular focus on communities experiencing health inequalities and unmet need. The programme operates within the Lambeth Public Health team in close partnership with the NHS. This is an exciting time to join the team, as the NHS 10-year plan has a strong emphasis on community-based care and prevention, offering opportunities to align the programme with local neighbourhood priorities.
About the Role
The Service Delivery Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the community health and wellbeing bus programme as well as wider programme support to ensure that community delivery is well organised, high quality, and aligned with programme workstreams and targets. The postholder will supervise Health Champions, coordinate delivery activity, monitor performance, and ensure consistent reporting of programme activity. The role will ensure strong delivery standards while supporting staff development and ensuring residents receive effective engagement and support.
